Bunny Hops
A break
A walk in the rain
Foray away from urban streets
Swish swish of heels
Cars fwhooom and mist goes by
I say hi
Mist says bye
Onto grass the rabbit goes
Ice seeps into my toes
A deliciously cold dew drop kiss
Beanie hot on forehead
Trees and leaves high overhead
Brick house lined street
Houses set back from the street
Far from my feet
Longing to enter, to retreat
A field? Institutional house stops me.
Is this for me? A part of my tuition fees?
Sarah Lawrence trash cans murmur, yes please visit me
Dusk approaching, light beckoning
Forward or back?
There is no reprieve
Must go on
See what has not been seen
Circle Complete
Campus regularities can be seen
Head clear, thoughts bring me
To familiarity
Green leaves
A shield from the rain
A shiver in the air
I should be returning
Abandoning the desolate site of education
On this dreary Sunday afternoon
I return to private study

She is currently reading War and Peace, and probably will be for the foreseeable future. She thanks you for reading her piece, and she hopes you are having a nice day.
