A note from the Editors
As Chloe and I sat down to write this we asked ourselves, What would Donna Tartt write? If we were Tartt, we would be writing a dark academia-styled murder mystery. Instead, we are writing something like an ode to our wonderful editors who gave up their Monday nights to be with us; to watch Chloe try to work the microphone and sing like Morrissey at the podium; to read the wonderful submissions that our contributors sent us; to create this issue on campus, something that hasn’t been done since my freshman year. We’d like to thank our contributors, without you we would have a pdf with a hundred empty pages. Whether you’re a writer, visual artist, musician, or hybrid-genre artist, we are inspired by your creativity and dedication to this journal. To our readers: thank you for coming back to Love & Squalor. We sincerely hope you enjoy this issue.
With love & squalor,
Ash & Chloe
